Aufgaben
As the Project Manager for the curious, you will be responsible for turning a strong editorial vision into a reliable, premium execution engine. You will own planning, coordination, and delivery across the website launch, podcast and video production, and content operations. Working closely with the CMO, internal teams, and external partners, you will ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met—while protecting the project's editorial integrity, tone, and brand experience. The curious is a community-driven cultural platform by paper republic, launching in 2026 as an ecosystem of events, a dedicated digital space (website/editorial), a podcast with video, supported by social channels and a newsletter. This role does not include direct reports or disciplinary leadership responsibility.
Your responsibilities (April–July: Launch): Project Manager
- Own and drive the end-to-end launch plan from April through public launch (end of July)
- Build and maintain the overall project plan, including timelines, dependencies, risks, decision logs and budget tracking
- Coordinate external partners (branding studio, podcast and video production), managing briefs, timelines, approvals, handovers and deliverables
- Oversee production operations for 10+ interviews, including booking, scheduling, approvals and release planning
- Build and manage the cross-channel content calendar across website, podcast platforms, YouTube, social media and newsletter
- Ensure each release includes a complete and consistent asset set (audio, video, clips, quotes, thumbnails, show notes)
- Coordinate launch readiness across website, newsletter infrastructure and marketing workflows together with internal specialists
- Ensure a smooth soft launch and public go-live
Your responsibilities (July onward: Always-on Operations): Program Manager
- Establish and maintain a sustainable “always-on” operating rhythm with clear ownership, deadlines and priorities
- Own and manage the end-to-end content pipeline (record → edit → publish → distribute), preventing bottlenecks and ensuring consistent delivery
- Maintain the master content calendar across podcast/video, editorial, newsletter, social and events
- Coordinate the cross-channel content flywheel (events → recordings → episodes → editorial excerpts → newsletter/social)
- Ensure consistent, premium execution across channels, including templates, formats and asset standards
- Set up and manage performance reporting (traffic, listens/views, engagement, attendance) and drive iteration based on insights
- Support quarterly planning, partner collaborations and larger initiatives (e.g. live recordings, special series, event highlights), while maintaining budget tracking and partner coordination
Qualifikationen
- 2+ years of experience in project management in a creative, digital, editorial, media, or product environment
- Proven ability to plan and deliver complex, multi-channel initiatives (e.g. website, content, and production launches)
- Strong organisational and operational skills with high attention to detail
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and external partners, and working closely with creative teams
- Clear, confident communicator with a calm, structured, and reliable working style, even under pressure
- High sense of ownership with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
Wir bieten
- A fulfilling role in a young, innovative and international team
- Integration into a dynamic, fast-growing company, where every day brings new opportunities and challenges
- Interesting development opportunities, including an annual personal educational budget
- Unique paper republic workspaces in the heart of Vienna, shared with our manufacturing, design and retail teams
- Happiness events, summer parties, after-work events, brunches and outings
- Employee benefits (meal subsidy, public transportation ticket, myClubs membership at a reduced rate, 50% discount on all our products, …)
- A salary of € 2,600.- gross for a 40 h/week, with adjustments based on education and experience
